In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul. (Psalm 138:3 NKJV)
When the kids were young, cries were frequent, distinctive and easy to identify. There were cries of hurt, hunger, frustration and desire for attention. To outsiders, one cry is indistinguishable from another but as a Father, I always knew the difference. How? They were my kids. I can’t explain it but it’s part of parenting and I knew how to respond accordingly.
When we cry out to God as our Heavenly Father, He distinguishes the cries. Whether they are cries of hurt, hunger, frustration or desire to be held in His loving arms, He knows. Not only does He know, He answers and brings boldness and strength for our soul. Whatever you are facing, don’t hesitate to cry out to your Father. He knows exactly what we need and how to respond.
